Cut out ALL sources of sugar in his diet.Look for the hedidn ones breakfast cereals are notorius for added arthritis . Switch to Cheerios. Even Honey Nut Cheerios are better than cornflakes. pre-processed fruit juices are FULL of added sugar! Use only fresh-squeezed juices, juices that YOU squeeze yourself from fresh fruit. Sports drinks (even GatorAid) are loaded with sugar. Also look for hedidn sources of caffeine even diet colas have caffeine, and so does anything chocolate. Stuff with chocolate also has added sugar.Make sure that he gets plenety of OUTDOOR playtime LOTS of exercise.Take away an all video games. DO NOT have a video game system in your house sell it. Video games destroy a childs ability to concentrate, since they purposely change the screen many times a minute to keep the child interested. Same with many child-oriented television shows, ESPECIALLY those on Nickleodeon. The jump cut destroys the child's ability to concentrate they expect the teacher to change subject every 10 seconds, too! LIMIT your childs television viewing to no more than one hour a day, and THAT as a reward for good behavior, successful completion of home chores, and completion of homework. But the BIGGEST thing you can do for yuour child is to have a tightly structured home life. You and your husband need to make sure that you are meeting daily schedules, especially so far as meals and bed times are concerned. BOTH of you need to be home at night to spend play time with your child. Dinner needs to be served at 6 or 7 PM (what ever is normal in your hosue) and you BOTH need to be there. ALL of you take part in preparation (even a 7-year-old can make a salad and set the table) and ALL of you participate in clean up. You and your husband BOTH participate in bed time.By doing this you get your child used to the rigors of a more tightly defined enviroment like school. You don;t have to be Time Nazis , but you DO have to make schedules and STICK TO THEM because that is what you expect your son to do. he will leaqrn best by example and boys learn best by example from their father.

An individualized Homeopathic treatment may be helpful.
